Welcome to our website.
We are pleased to have the opportunity to meet all your vision and eye health care needs. We are a caring team of eyecare professionals dedicated to providing the best eye health care, from infants to seniors.
Of all our senses, vision is our most cherished. The majority of learning in every environment is through the visual system. Our vision performs a central role in everything we do. It significantly affects our day-to-day life, health, education and work.
Cherry B. Cockrell, OD, and David A. Cockrell, OD, FAAO, joined the existing practice of Marion S. Smith, OD in 1981. The practice was renamed to Cockrell Eyecare Center in 1988. In 1992 Cockrell Eyecare Center opened a second practice in Pawnee, OK, with the purchase of the practice of Dr. Mack Smith. In 1999, we had the great pleasure of adding Jeff Miller, OD, to the practice and in 2002, we welcomed Kong-Lin Chang, OD, as well.
Our goal at Cockrell Eyecare Center is to create an atmosphere that each of our patients will want to return to. To treat each one of our patients the way we want to be treated. To educate each patient about their vision and the current treatment options available to them. We will always emphasize preventive, therapeutic and developmental care to allow our patients to achieve their full potential.
Cockrell Eyecare Center is the premiere source for all your vision care needs. Our biggest asset is the expertise of our optometric physicians. The three optometrists have over 50 years of experience between them. They continue to sharpen their skills with continuing education and active participation in local and national optometric associations. You will not find better care for you and your family anywhere in the area. Read on for more information about each of them and about our staff of technicians and assistants.
We are located at 1711 W. Sixth Street in Stillwater, OK. We have recently remodeled and added to our existing facility in 2001. Our office is specifically designed for providing every aspect of eyecare you may receive in the most efficient manner possible. Our facility meets all ADA requirements from parking and to all other features of our facilities. We have a large optical center with over 900 spectacle frames, and an onsite one-hour optical service for most spectacle prescriptions. We have a comprehensive contact lens service that includes every type of contact lens fitting and service available. Our examination rooms are designed to examine and treat all ocular conditions. We welcome emergency patients as well.
In addition to our Stillwater office, we have a satellite office located in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Each office has the same current diagnostic equipment to provide quality eye care.
